The X Fold3 Pro is Vivo's first 'Pro' branded foldable, having launched the X Fold, X Fold Plus and X Fold2 so far. Additionally, the company has presented the X Fold3 today in China, full details of which we have covered separately. In short, the X Fold3 Pro is thicker and heavier than the X Fold3, which is now the largest foldable of its kind.
Specifically, the X Fold3 Pro measures 159.96 x 72.55~142.4 x 5.2~11.2 mm and weighs 236 g. In part, the additional 17 g in weight can be attributed to the X Fold3 Pro's twin 2,850 mAh battery system, which offers a 5,700 mAh combined capacity. Incidentally, the X Fold3 Pro supports 100 W wired charging, a 20 W downgrade on the X Fold2, and 50 W wireless charging. By contrast, the X Fold3 is only capable of 80 W wired charging with no wireless charging whatsoever.
Moreover, the X Fold3 Pro swaps the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 50 MP portrait camera in the X Fold3 for a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a 64 MP 'Zeiss super telephoto' camera that supports 3x optical zoom. For reference, the latter also allows the X Fold3 Pro to deliver up to 100x digital zoom. Elsewhere, it appears that the X Fold3 Pro possesses the same 50 MP primary, 50 MP ultra-wide-angle and twin 32 MP front-facing cameras as the regular X Fold3, although its primary has a wider f/1.68 aperture compared to f/1.75 in the X Fold3.
On top of that, the X Fold3 Pro features the same 2,480 x 2,200-pixel and 2,748 x 1,172-pixel AMOLED displays as the X Fold3 that measure 8.03-inches and 6.53-inches across, respectively. The X Fold3 Pro comes in Light Feather White and Thin Wing Black colour options, just like the X Fold3. Unsurprisingly, the X Fold3 Pro sells for more than its sibling owing to its battery, chipset and camera improvements. While Vivo has not confirmed global pricing yet, the device sells for CNY 9,999 (~$1,385) or CNY 10,999 (~1,524) in China with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. In other words, the X Fold3 Pro costs significantly less than pre-release leaks suggested.
