Vivo has confirmed that it will finally start make its foldable smartphones officially available outside China in 2024, starting with India (as indicated by the appearance of compatible carbon fiber-effect cases on Amazon.in).
On that note, (and despite our fears) the OEM has also affirmed that the device on its way to that market is indeed the truly Pro version of the X Fold3, by hyping the fact that it weighs just 236 grams and is just 11.2mm thick when closed.
Nevertheless, the Pro is also touted to pack top-end hardware, Zeiss-branded rear cameras with room for even periscope zoom technology, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for both its 120Hz AMOLED displays and advanced silicon-carbon batteries of a generous 5,700mAh rated capacity included.
The X Fold3 Pro is also slated to support AI Assist features such as smart translation, transcription and note-taking powered by Google's Gemini out of the box.
It will be unleashed on June 6, 2024 at 12:00 IST (08:30 CET), in just 1 Celestial Black colorway with further SKU information such as RAM and internal storage to follow.
