While fellow Chinese OEM OnePlus is unlikely to launch its foldable, the OnePlus Open 2, this year, Xiaomi looks set to debut two new foldable devices in the near future. According to a new leak, Xiaomi's foldables may launch ahead of schedule, even.
As revealed by Kartikey Singh, Xiaomi appears to be gearing up to launch the Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip ahead of its typical schedule. Both the Mix Fold 2 and Mix Fold 3 were released in August but, according to the source, the Mix Fold 4 could make its debut in early July or even late in June. That should see the Xiaomi foldables launch before their Samsung counterparts.
The Mix Fold 4 is expected to be the star of the show, and is rumored to debut as the slimmest foldable smartphone in the world. The Mix Fold 4 is unlikely to launch globally. Previous entries in the lineup have all remained exclusive to China, and it looks increasingly likely that the Mix Fold 4 will continue on that path. That said, the Mix Flip—Xiaomi's inaugural clamshell-style foldable and Galaxy Z Flip6 (buy the Z Flip5 on Amazon) rival—is tipped to make its way to the global market.
