Motorola Razr 50-related leaks have been hotting up in recent weeks, having first surfaced at the start of the year. Now, various sources have revealed pricing and specifications for two models, which will replace the Razr 2023 (curr. $499.99 on Amazon) and Razr Plus 2023 in North America, as well as the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra elsewhere.
On the one hand, Motorola is said to overhaul its cheaper clamshell foldable with a device that packs the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X, an unreleased chipset that may well debut with the Razr 50 and Razr 2024. Reportedly starting at $699 in the US and €899 in the Eurozone, the Razr 50 is also slated to contain the other following hardware:
- 6.9-inch pOLED primary display, 1080p, 120 Hz refresh rate
- 3.6-inch pOLED secondary display, 120 Hz refresh rate
- 4,200 mAh battery
- 50 MP primary, 13 MP ultra-wide-angle, 32 MP internal cameras
By contrast, the Razr 50 Ultra (Razr Plus 2024) is anticipated to step up to a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and a 165 Hz refresh rate across both its displays. Moreover, the Razr 50 Ultra is said to feature a 4-inch cover display, as well as a pair of 50 MP rear-facing cameras. Conversely, the handset is rumoured to utilise a 32 MP internal camera and a smaller 4,000 mAh battery capacity. The Razr 50 Ultra is expected to retail for €200 more than the Razr 50 too, although this price increase will also include 4 GB more RAM with the same 256 GB of storage.
