Scheduled to launch later today, Google's second beta of the next Android iteration is expected to sport quite a few noticeable changes. While the details are not available yet, users of Google smartphones starting with the Pixel 6, as well as Pixel Tablet and Fold owners should get this test version later this year.

Last month, Google unleashed the first Android 15 beta release, which was exclusive to Pixel devices. As the summer draws near, Android OEMs have already started testing the pre-release Android 15 builds. Honor, for example, already made the first beta available for the Magic6 Pro and Magic V2. Back to Google, the tech giant is now ready to launch Android 15 Beta 2.

On the Android Developers website, Android 15 Beta 2 is labeled "Incremental Beta-quality release" and the developer actions highlighted focus on continuing the testing started with the first version. Those involved in the development process should watch for feedback from Android Beta users while continuing early testing with targeting Android 15 and highlighting any SDK and library compatibility issues. For now, the latest version available and listed by Google on the aforementioned website is Android 15 Beta 1.2, which was released on April 25th.

The list of supported devices at launch remains the same, starting with the Pixel 6 family, but also including the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. The first stable builds are expected to arrive in October for Pixel smartphones, followed by non-Google devices a few months later. Those interested in a good deal can currently grab the Google Pixel 7a with 128 GB in Sea finish off Amazon for $419 instead of $499 thanks to a 16% discount.
