Google has now published Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1, thereby finalising the Android 14 QPR2 update. Given that Android 14 QPR1 reached eligible Pixel devices in December 2023, it would appear that Android 14 QPR2 will likely reach stable status next month as part of Google's March 2024 update rollout. Seemingly, Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1 only makes one user-facing change, which Google describes as follows:
Fixed an issue where Circle to Search wasn't available to Beta users. This feature was unintentionally released only to non-Beta users.
The likes of Mishaal Rahman have discovered a few hidden changes though, with more likely surfacing in the next few days as people dig deeper into Google's latest Android 14 beta update. On the one hand, Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1 contains strings for 'Adaptive Touch'. For now, Adaptive Touch is merely linked to the phrase 'Touch sensitivity will automatically adjust to your environment, activities and screen protector'.
Currently, it is impossible to enable Adaptive Touch in Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1. However, Rahman observes that there is now a dedicated Touch sensitivity sub-menu in Settings beneath Display that previously did not exist. For now, this new sub-menu is limited to the Screen protector mode toggle, although we imagine that this is where Adaptive Touch will sit when Google is ready to ship it.

On the other hand, 9to5Google has found references 'Clementine' and 'Kiyomi', two previously unknown codenames. While Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1 does offer any indications as to what the pair are, their names themselves do. For context, Clementines and Kiyomis are both citrus fruit hybrids, as are Murcotts. In short, the trio are all tangors, a classification formed by combining 'tang' from tangerine and 'or' from 'orange'.
Tangor was also the original codename for the Pixel Tablet (curr. $439 on Amazon), with Google later switching to 'tangorpro' for its Tensor G2 revision. Thus, 9to5Google infers that Clementine and Kiyomi codenames could be offshoots of 'tangor' and 'tangorpro', thereby likely referring to the Pixel Tablet 2. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, including whether Google is planning on upgrading the Pixel Tablet to the Tensor G3 or Tensor G4 platforms for its second-generation model.
