According to a document shared by Android app developer Dylan Roussel on X/Twitter, Google is supposedly planning to make some big changes in Bard - its official AI tool. Technical updates set apart; the app is getting an entire rebranding under the name Gemini, which is Google’s original AI model.
The changelog document posted on February 3rd, 2024, also mentions that the tool is going to be available for iOS users within the Google app. As per the document, the app is supposed to come with an enhanced user interface that features simpler navigation, fewer visual distractions, and overall better user experience. Google also plans to include a voice chat feature within the app.
Google had already made announcements regarding an advanced paid tier of the Gemini app, boasting its powerhouse Gemini Ultra, back in December 2023. The document confirms the same with the search giant’s plans of introducing ‘Ultra 1.0’, a paid version of Bard. Gemini, as per the document, is far more capable of working with complex tasks like coding, logical reasoning, creative collaboration, and more. For early access to the company’s AI features, the changelog suggests users update to the advanced tier.
The document also indicates that Bard will have an integration with other features like maps, Gmail, YouTube etc., making tasks simpler for the users. Further, interaction is made easier for the users, i.e., you can now chat with the tool using images, audio, and text.
As far as availability is concerned, the upgraded AI tool will be available in English for users in the US. Across the globe, it will be available in English, Korean, and Japanese languages.
On the same note, users can consider getting the new Google Pixel 8 Pro (curr. $799 on Amazon) to get more out of your Gemini AI experience.
