Pixel Watch 3: First look at Google's next smartwatch leaks online
@OnLeaks and 91mobiles have partnered again to release a new set of CAD-based render images. This time, the pair have provided a first look at the Pixel Watch 3, roughly four months before its expected release. For context, Google has introduced new smartwatches alongside flagship Pixel smartphone releases in the last two years. Thus, it seems likely that the company will officially unveil the Pixel Watch 3 alongside the Pixel 9 series, which is currently thought to consist of four models including a Pixel Fold successor.
In short, minimal design differences exist between the Pixel Watch 2 (curr. $289.99 on Amazon) and the Pixel Watch 3. For example, the latter retains a round display set within a concave glass cover, giving the appearance of a bezel-less design. Likewise, the placement of the digital crown, secondary physical button and speaker slot remain unchanged, as does Google's proprietary quick-release watch band system.

By contrast, the Pixel Watch 3 is said to be 14 mm thick, which would make it 1.7 mm thicker than its predecessor. According to @OnLeaks and 91mobiles, the new smartwatch measures 40.79 x 40.73 mm though, slightly different from the Pixel Watch 2's 41 x 41 mm dimensions. Given that the pair claim Google will continue to include a 1.2-inch display, it would seem that the Pixel Watch 3 has thinner bezels than previous Pixel Watch models, albeit not to the degree that @OnLeaks' and 91mobiles' render images suggest.
Please note that neither have provided equivalent render images of the rumoured 45 mm Pixel Watch 3. Nonetheless, both models are expected to include an ultra-wideband chip (UWB) for use with Google's Find My Device system, as well as a new chipset. Moreover, the Pixel Watch 3 is likely to showcase a stock Wear OS 5 experience for the first time. For reference, while Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatches are due to debut in July, they will run a heavily customised version of Wear OS 5 called One UI Watch 6.
