Fresh leaks surface for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 smartphones
The Galaxy Z Flip5 (curr. $849.99 on Amazon) brought a new design to its series, arguably more so than the Galaxy Z Fold5. Based on recent rumours, Samsung is still about two months away from releasing the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6. Nonetheless, case designs have already leaked online.
As Roland Quandt points out, these case designs are from a conventional third-party case manufacturer and 'not from some AliExpress brand'. Please note that these case designs have not been created from official render images. As such, smaller details that would not affect a case's design have not been included in the images below. Ultimately, the Galaxy Z Flip6 looks a lot like its predecessor. By contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold6 has slightly wider displays than the comparatively skinny Galaxy Z Fold5.
Meanwhile, The Elec reports that Samsung will not employ a dual chipset strategy for its sixth-generation foldables, as previous rumours claimed. Instead, the South Korean outlet states that Samsung is only sourcing Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipsets, even in regions where the Exynos 2400 is offered for the Galaxy S24 series. Apparently, the decision comes because Galaxy Z handsets do not sell as many units as their Galaxy S counterparts. Consequently, there is not enough margin for Samsung to warrant developing two Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 variants.
