The release of the Galaxy Z Fold6 remains a while off yet. Currently, Samsung is expected to officially introduce the Galaxy Z Fold5 (curr. $1,519.99 on Amazon) successor in early July alongside the Galaxy Z Flip6, new Galaxy Watch smartwatches and the Galaxy Ring. Nonetheless, various pictures showing what are alleged to be the Galaxy Z Fold6 or dummy units have already leaked online.
On the one hand, @UniverseIce has been gradually revealing heavily cropped shots of what they refer to as 'THE NEXT FOLD'. Embedded above and below with credit where appropriate, the images show a device with a squarer design than the current Galaxy Z Fold5. Additionally, one image hints at a redesigned camera housing, although the sensors underneath may be unchanged between generations.
On the other hand, pictures of a dummy unit have been published on a Korean-language forum and reposted by @ta__tech, among other sources. Ultimately, the visual differences between the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Fold6 look greater than previous rumours suggested. Based on the images below, the Galaxy Z Fold6 looks more like the Vivo X Fold3 Pro than its predecessor. In a similar vein, a recent Geekbench listing appears to confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold6 will ship with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-derived chipset even if Europe. Seemingly, 12 GB of RAM will return too, albeit for a rumoured €100 price increase compared to the current Galaxy Z Fold5.
