Samsung has not officially announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event yet. Nonetheless, there have been plenty of rumours about what the event could contain. On the one hand, Samsung is expected to present the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6, the latter of which has recently surfaced in several hands-on photos.
On the other hand, a new batch of Galaxy Watch smartwatches is also anticipated to debut during the same event. Supposedly, a new 'Ultra' model will sit atop Samsung's Galaxy Watch7 series. However, it was unclear whether Samsung would call this smartwatch the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra, the Galaxy Watch Ultra or the Galaxy Watch X.
According to the UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), Samsung intends to offer the smartwatch as the 'Galaxy Watch Ultra', eschewing any references to the Galaxy Watch7 series. Additionally, the TDRA links this marketing name to the root model number 'SM-L705', which has been seen previously. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has published initial documentation relating to the Galaxy Watch Ultra too in which it describes the smartwatch supporting 10 W (5V/2A) fast charging, contrary to earlier rumours relating to the Galaxy Watch7 series.
Meanwhile, the TDRA has also listed the Galaxy Watch FE, a long-rumoured addition to the Galaxy Watch series. As expected, the Galaxy Watch FE carries the root model number 'SM-R861'. Unfortunately, more details about the Galaxy Watch FE remain unknown at this stage. Currently, these two smartwatches are rumoured to be arriving on July 10 alongside direct Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic (curr. $274.39 - renewed on Amazon) successors.
