There have been multiple, often conflicting, reports about Samsung's foldable lineup for 2024. Some insist that the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 will be the only offerings this year, while others state they could be joined by cheaper/more premium variants. DSCC's Ross Young, an industry insider well acquainted with display-related tech, now says Samsung could release a Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim later this year.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim will be available for purchase sometime in Q1, 2025, with its panel entering mass production in. late 2024. Notably, it does not come with a digitiser, effectively ruling out S Pen compatibility. Young adds there is a chance Samsung could market it as the previously-rumoured Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra. He will reveal more information about its panel soon.
Meanwhile, Galaxyclub.nl (via Sammobile) has learned about the existence of the Galaxy Z Flip6 Slim. It won't differ much from the regular Galaxy Z Flip6, at least in terms of camera and hardware. It, too, is unlikely to launch this year and may be shown off in early 2025, presumably alongside the Galaxy Tab S10 and Galaxy S25 series.
