Wonda Mobile has already started selling Vivo's latest foldable smartphones, a day after the company unveiled them in China. For context, Vivo presented the X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro alongside the Pad3 Pro. Additionally, the company confirmed plans to release the V40 SE globally with a bright AMOLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, among other features.
For reference, the X Fold3 starts at CNY 6,999 (~$970) in China. By contrast, Vivo charges at least CNY 9,999 (~$1,385) for the X Fold3 Pro on account of various hardware improvements like a newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. In comparison, Wonda Mobile has priced the pair as follows:
X Fold3
- 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage - $1,169
- 16 GB RAM/256 GB storage - $1,239
- 16 GB RAM/512 GB storage - $1,309
- 16 GB RAM/1 TB storage - $1,469
X Fold3 Pro
- 16 GB RAM/512 GB storage - $1,699
- 16 GB RAM/1 TB storage - $1,859
Currently, the company hopes to begin shipping X Fold3 orders on April 8. However, X Fold3 Pro orders will not be dispatched until April 26 at the earliest. Please note that Wonda Mobile is selling Chinese models upon which it has installed the Google Play Store. Thus, all orders will be unsealed.
Incidentally, it appears that Vivo has certified the X Fold3 for sale outside China. As the screenshots below show, Vivo has been cleared to sell the V2330 in Indonesia, which is presumed to be the X Fold3 Pro. Unfortunately, these certifications are no guarantee that a global launch will actually occur. Instead, it seems that Vivo is exploring this possibility for at least the X Fold3 Pro.
