Vivo released a slightly less premium X Fold3 to go with its X Fold3 Pro flagship in 2024. However, the OEM has reportedly confirmed that it will stop trying to release multiple foldable smartphones per year as of 2025.
The single device tipped to take their place is thought to be a direct successor to the top-end 3 Pro, particularly as it was the one that became available internationally.
It is thought to have cutting-edge specs such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, although it might debut in the third quarter of 2025, thereby losing the race to launch first to its rival the OnePlus Open 2.
Vivo has also reportedly confirmed that it will get into the XR headset space from 2025 with a device rumored to fall into the same category as the Apple Vision Pro and/or Samsung's Project Moohan.
Accordingly, the upcoming X200 Ultra candy-bar flagship might follow its predecessor in supporting the creation of immersive content with its supposedly cutting-edge Zeiss cameras. It is also now said to debut with a new Vivo V-series co-processor to go with its own 8 Elite silicon in early 2025.
