Apple is arguably lagging very far back on the flexible-display device track; in fact, it is projected that the fourth-gen LG Gram Fold could be ready to launch before its series' counterpart from Cupertino so much as starts to go into production.
Then again, things might not be quite so dire for Apple foldables, according to a new leak. Jeff Pu has reportedly indicated that they have just been given higher priority at Cupertino, so that their manufacture might start as early as 2025 rather than 2027 as estimated by Ming-Chi Kuo, another widely-respected securities analyst.
This process is projected to start with a new 20.3-inch display device, a gadget that, given its rumored size, is thought to be a first-gen foldable MacBook - if not a more novel kind of iPad/MacBook hybrid, as posited by Bloomberg contributor Mark Gurman.
It is expected to be followed into mass production by the first-gen foldable iPhone, a device that may have a main screen of as much as 8.3 inches in diagonal length.
