The latest Apple MacBook Air 13 with the M3 SoC has dropped to its lowest price yet on Amazon after scoring more than $100 off. As a result, the laptop, which usually retails for around $1,499 for 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of storage, can now be had for substantially less. Needless to say, the MacBook Air 13 M3 becomes an almost perfect daily driver at the discounted rate.

Apple introduced the 2024 MacBook Air 13 in early March 2024 with the M3 SoC. Like previous iterations of the Apple M-based MacBook Air laptops, the MacBook Air 13 (2024) is a stellar machine in almost all aspects. As such, we gave the laptop a rating of 92% in our review. However, Apple’s usual pricing structure is a little less than ideal.

The MacBook Air 13 (2024) starts at $1,099 with 8 GB of RAM, an 8-core GPU, and 256 GB of storage. Users who want to keep the laptop for longer and, therefore, want more RAM and storage would normally need to shell out an extra $400 to get 16 GB memory and 512 GB of storage. In the absence of any user-replaceable parts, this pricing scheme is quite disappointing for folks who are on a tight budget.

Keeping that in mind, the M3-based MacBook Air 13 with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage available on Amazon for only $1,349 ($150 off the retail price) becomes an incredible deal. According to camelcamelcamel, this is the lowest price for the machine to date.

So, what can you expect from the Apple MacBook Air 13 M3?

The MacBook Air 13 features a solid display with almost complete DCI-P3 coverage and more than 500 nits of average brightness. Additionally, the panel boasts a 1,250:1 contrast ratio which, while not incredibly high, should make for acceptable color performance.

On the performance side of things, the M3 chip inside the MacBook Air 13 sees an increase of 20% in both single-core and multi-core performance vs the M2. Thus, day-to-day workloads and even demanding tasks shouldn’t pose any issues for the laptop.

Thankfully, the increased performance hasn’t impacted the MacBook Air 13 battery life negatively, as we measured an impressive Wi-Fi websurfing result of more than 15 hours.

Long story short, few daily drivers are as good as the MacBook Air 13 with the M3 processor. The latest price cut makes what was an already incredible machine even better.
