Deal | Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2023) with M2 Max and 32 GB RAM experiences massive price drop
If you are in the market for a powerful content creation laptop, you might want to take a look at the MacBook Pro 16 with the M2 Max which is currently retailing for only $1,839.99 on Woot. To put the price into perspective, the Apple MacBook Pro 16 with the M2 Max launched at a starting price of $3,499 in early 2023.
Before we move on, it is pertinent to mention that the MacBook Pro 16 model on sale has a French-Canadian keyboard layout which is almost exactly like the regular QWERTY layout but has a few differences. So, the keyboard layout might need some getting used to.
Moving on, the MacBook Pro 16 under discussion features an Apple M2 Max SoC with 12 CPU cores and 38 GPU cores alongside 32 GB unified memory, 1 TB of storage, and a 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display. The Mini-LED panel boasts a 3456 x 2234 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

For instance, the MacBook Pro 16’s display produced 487 nits of average brightness in SDR, inky deep blacks thanks to a low black value, and covered 99% DCI-P3 gamut. The display also came calibrated out of the box.
Driving the display is the 38-core GPU of the M2 Max which can, per our measurements, rival the RTX 3080 Ti in performance. Coupled with a capable 12-core CPU, the M2 Max will comfortably handle whatever you throw at it.
On a side note, if you want even more performance, Amazon currently has the MacBook Pro 16 with the M3 Max SoC for only $2,899, a $200 discount over the list price.
Finally, the 2023 Apple MacBook Pro 16 also has excellent battery life as the laptop ran for more than 14 hours in our Wi-Fi Websurfing test.
