Blackview Hero 10: New affordable foldable fully detailed before imminent global release
Blackview has now listed the Hero 10 on AliExpress, a week or so after revealing initial details about the device. While Blackview is better known for creating ruggedised smartphones, the Hero 10 is its first dip into the world of foldable smartphones. In short, the Blackview Hero 10 is more comparable to the Nubia Flip 5G than the Galaxy Z Flip5 (curr. $999.99 on Amazon) on account of its weaker hardware and rumoured lower price point.
As expected, Blackview has equipped the Hero 10 with a 6.9-inch foldable display that outputs at 2,560 x 1,080 pixels with 1,300 nits peak brightness but a 60 Hz refresh rate. Allegedly, the large display should withstand 250,000 folds, as should the device's associated hinge. Moreover, Blackview has installed a 32 MP front-facing camera that sits beneath a punch-hole, which it attempts to hide with various software gimmicks.
Additionally, the device has a round cover display that sits next to 108 MP primary (1/1.67-inch) and 8 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras. Meanwhile, a 4,000 mAh battery powers the Hero 10, which it can recharge at up to 45 W. Unfortunately, Blackview has underpinned the handset with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, as well as 12 GB of RAM. Based on earlier rumours, Blackview intends to sell the Hero 10 for €399. However, the company's AliExpress listing only shows place-holding pricing at the time of publication.
