Xiaomi 14 SE: Possible Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 smartphone outlined with launch information and pricing detailed

Xiaomi has released three Xiaomi 14 series handsets to date, albeit not in all markets. For context, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro started out in late 2023. However, it took until February 2024 before the Xiaomi 14 was available outside China. While the Xiaomi 14 (curr. $1,094 on Amazon) was joined by the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the company decided to maintain the Xiaomi 14 Pro as a Chinese exclusive.

According to Abhishek Yadav, Xiaomi has now decided to supplement the Xiaomi 14 series with a fourth model. Writing on Twitter, Yadav asserts that the company has developed the 'Xiaomi 14 SE', with 'SE' being a term that has not graced the company's flagship smartphone series yet. Speculatively, Yadav writes that the Xiaomi 14 SE could be a re-branded CIVI 4 Pro, which is one of the few devices around sporting Qualcomm's recent Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset alongside the Redmi Turbo 3 and Edge 50 Ultra.

For context, evidence has already emerged that Xiaomi had prepared a CIVI 4 Pro spin-off. Seemingly exclusive to India, the device has previously been referred to as the Xiaomi 14 Lite or Xiaomi 14 CIVI. Accordingly, Yadav only mentions an Indian release date and pricing in relation to the Xiaomi 14 SE. Allegedly, Xiaomi will introduce the device in June for under INR 50,000 (~$599), which would make it significantly cheaper than the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
