HMD Global has reissued the Nokia 215 4G, Nokia 225 4G and Nokia 235 4G, a day or so after Nokia Mob shared initial details about the trio. As expected, the three feature phones contain overhauled designs, which HMD Global appears to base on modern smartphones. Specifically, it has replaced the rounded back panel of previous models with a flat equivalent, which it marries with an equally flat frame.
While the Nokia 215 4G, Nokia 225 4G and Nokia 235 4G all look alike, HMD Global has distinguished them in multiple areas. For example, the Nokia 215 4G is missing a rear-facing camera. Additionally, the Nokia 225 4G is the only one of three to feature a 2.4-inch display; the Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 235 4G both come with a larger 2.8-inch option instead. Moreover, HMD Global describes the latter as having a superior rear-facing camera than the Nokia 225 4G. We are only talking 0.3 MP and 2 MP sensors here though, respectively.
However, the trio share various hardware elements, including Bluetooth and LTE connectivity, a 3.5 mm jack and a microSD card reader that only accepts up to 32 GB cards. Furthermore, HMD Global equips all models with 1,450 mAh batteries, USB Type-C ports and Unisoc T107 chipsets. As a result, total talk time expands from 6 to 9.8 hours, regardless of the model chosen.
Unsurprisingly, the Nokia 215 4G is the cheapest of the three. According to HMD Global's press release, the Nokia 215 4G will soon be available for €59 in black, blue and orange colourways. By contrast the Nokia 225 4G will retail €69 in dark blue and pink finishes, with the Nokia 235 4G rounding out the series at €79 in black, blue and purple.
