Godox Magic XT1: A new wireless mic system with OLED touchscreen receiver

Godox is a content creator-focused brand, although it might be best known for its lighting solutions. However, the receiver (RX) for its latest wireless mic kit is illuminating in its own way in that it has its own in-built screen that is OLED as well as touch-responsive.

That might make its dual transmitters (TXs, in cases of interviews or similar situations) easier and more "intuitive" to manage while in use. They are rated to weigh just 8 grams each, so they may go unnoticed when fastened to clothes via their magnetic or physical clips.

Furthermore, the back of the RX also acts as their charging dock, to keep the whole Magic XT1 set-up as compact as possible. Once apart, they are rated to keep working even when up to 200m apart (albeit still within line of sight of each other).

The XT1 is rated for up to 48kHz/24bit audio capture with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 70 decibels (dB) and a sound pressure level (SPL) of up to 115dB, although they can also be set to record a -6dB "safety track" in case of loss of the main recording. 

The XT1's RX can also adhere to the USB Audio Class (UAC) when transferring its files to a PC. It has been released to Amazon at a price of $109.
