Deal | Nikon bundles $199 waterproof creator backpack for free with Nikon Zf cameras until June 30
Nikon's collaboration with Gaston Luga in 2023 resulted in the launch of a rather nifty looking roll-top backpack. The GL X Nikon roll-top backpack features sleek, waterproof, eco-friendly materials and plenty of inner space for photographers on-the-go, and for a limited time, it will be available for free for buyers of the Nikon Zf full-frame retro style camera.
The GL X Nikon backpack comes with a separate, detachable inner camera holder as well as removable dividers and dedicated pouches for both a laptop and a tablet. The laptop compartment only accommodates up to 14-inch laptops, which is a bit of a shortcoming for anyone looking to do any serious video editing on the go — a task which usually requires a slightly bulkier laptop.
Nikon and Gaston Luga claim that the GL X Nikon backpack is made of a mix of 100% recycled nylon, polyester, and polyurethane — it appears that there's not a drop of virgin material in the woven bits of the backpack.
While the GL X Nikon backpack has been available since last year, judging by the dates of the product reviews, and is available via the Nikon USA online store for $199 as well as on the Gaston Luga store for the same price, Nikon will now be giving the bag away with purchases of the Nikon Zf camera in an effort to promote sustainability.
The GL X Nikon backpack is available for free with the Nikon Zf starting on May 1 through June 30, whether that be the full-frame body only or the Zf lens kits, which start at $1,999.
