Bowie MA10s: Baseus refreshes super-affordable ANC TWS earbuds with spatial audio and wireless charging
Baseus' latest Bowie-series audio accessories could be mistaken for their direct forebears the MA10 wireless earbuds on first glance, and are also still rated for the same relatively impressive hybrid ANC level of 48 decibels (dB) - then again, a number of potentially tasty upgrades have been made with this new iteration.
They include Baseus' Immersive Spatial Audio Technology, rated to deliver up to "50% more bass and 100% crisper treble" thanks to titanium-plated diaphragms and new AI algorithms. On that note, the MA10s' quad noise-cancelling mics for call quality are now also AI-powered.
Even the charging case now integrates a tiny 7-segment LED on the inside of the lid to display its remaining battery in numbers, as opposed to the more traditional external four-dot system of the first-gen MA10 case. On the other hand, that case is IPX6-rated, compared to IPX4 in its new successor.
Then again, the MA10s' case also upgrades to an alternative to charging via USB-C, although it is not clear if it works with all wireless pads or just those from Baseus.
Either way, these new TWS earbuds also uphold their series' penchant for ambitious ("140-hour") total up-times between charges, backed to last for up to 5 days of typical use this time - although a more sensible estimate of 38 hours is found in the fine print this time.
Nevertheless, their recommended price of $49.99 might make up for that - furthermore, Baseus has discounted both MA10 versions available on Amazon to celebrate the new addition. Accordingly, the 'original' buds go for $31.99 on the platform right now, whereas the MA10s refreshes are a little more at $39.99.
