Aohi Magcube: the 100W GaN+ charger with the LED display-enabled cable
High-wattage power accessories with their own displays to show their charging or discharging rates in real time are not unknown on the market; however, Aohi stands out by packing its LED input and output into its "Magline" cables. A 4-foot (~1.22 meters) USB type-C to C example of what even the new OEM concedes as probably the coolest aspect of its offerings is thrown in with every purchase of a new Magcube 100W power brick.
Regardless of what could be assumed from these product names, the accessories do not have all that much to do with wireless charging. However, it is packed with what Aohi calls "GaN+" technology, along with an "E-Marker" safety chipset, to support USB-PD charging from 18W to 100W, and, thus, to charge a MacBook Pro at its top rate.
It may also be fully compatible with up-to-date XPS-series PCs, as well as newer ThinkPads, Huawei MateBooks, iPhone 13-series devices and the new Samsung Galaxy S22-series flagships. Furthermore, the brick has dual type-C ports to split its maximum output into 2 65W/35W power supplies.
The new third-party brick is also touted as 40% smaller than others from companies such as Apple, and to have the advantage of foldable prongs (due to its US-region compatibility, in fairness). The Aohi Magcube 100W charger is available either on Amazon or from the start-up's own webstore. It ships for US$86 from now.
