AOHi Starship 140W 40,000mAh power bank cruises past US$200,000 mark in crowdfunding odyssey
Baseus has only just announced a Blade-series power bank with upgraded 140W charging via USB-PD - however, it seems AOHi is ahead in that race with its new Starship. The OEM's latest space-themed accessory is even rated for pass-through charging at its full rate, so that it is described as a dual-mode "charging station" on its new Kickstarter page.
The Starship would admittedly be hard-pressed to find a device exactly compatible with its new top rate. However, AOHi asserts that it can also be safely used with devices ranging from laptops to portable consoles, matching their rated inputs with Intelligent Power Delivery technology.
Accordingly, its 40,000mAh batteries (although whether this spec has rated or typical status is not clear) are touted to charge a Galaxy S23 6 times over and a Nintendo Switch OLED 5 times over, although it might only charge a MacBook Pro 16 1.2 times. Then again, it has only 3 output ports dual USB type-Cs and 1 type-A) to distribute among a user's devices.
Like many "cyberpunk" accessories out there, the AOHi Starship also packs an "Intelligent Digital" charging status display. It currently starts at US$159 as a Kickstarter reward, and has already accumulated over US$213,000 with 34 days to go on the platform.
