Seeing things marketed as handy, practical, often outdoors-style gadgets such as miniature blades, arc lighters and keychain cables on crowdfunding campaigns is far from unusual - however, this is probably the first time all of them are combined in the same one.
Nevertheless, Aohi asserts that all 3 functions are supported in its new Prometheus cable. One of its USB-C ends is capped with a retractable, durable "medical-grade titanium-alloy" cutting tool, while the other contains an "instant ceramic lighter".
Aohi - a brand that clearly envisions that the above would be used on a camping trip and in absolutely no other situation whatsoever - has conferred support for up to 240W charging and 480 megabits per second (Mb/s) data transfers) on the cable.
The USB-PD 3.1 accessory is also short enough to fold back on itself and clip together via its caps to form a keychain weighing just 0.06lb and measuring 3.23 inches (82 millimeters (mm)) in length.
The little gadget starts at $39 on its Kickstarter page. It has already accrued $92,216 of its $5,000 goal, and is apparently "Delivery Guaranteed by Aohi" with a target date of October 2025 - although time will tell for that last claim.
