Leaker details new Xiaomi tablet release plans for September and October 2025

A popular Weibo account has weighed in on the state of Xiaomi's tablet release plans for the rest of the year. For context, the company has introduced options across various price points this year, ranging from the budget Redmi Pad 2 (curr. $184.99 on Amazon) to the flagship-grade Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro.

According to Experience More, Xiaomi plans to refresh both tablet series this autumn with new models. Reiterating past leaks and rumours, Experience More indicates that the Pad 8 series will be first up with a September release. Currently, this launch window is only expected to apply to China, during which Xiaomi is also tipped to introduce the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro and Xiaomi 16 Pro Max.

Apparently, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro will not be far behind either. Although Experience More has not shared a specific release window yet, the leaker asserts that Xiaomi's cheaper tablet will arrive between September and October. Recent leaks suggest that Xiaomi will distinguish this new model from the Redmi Pad Pro with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It is unclear at this stage whether Xiaomi will offer distinct Wi-Fi and cellular versions this time, though.
