AYANEO FLIP teased again with overhauled design and promises of 'astonishing performance'
AYANEO has now provided a first look at the FLIP, a gaming handheld that it first teased in June 2022. Seemingly, the AYANEO FLIP has undergone significant design changes since last year. In short, the device that AYANEO has now shown is unrecognisable from last year's teasers.
The AYANEO FLIP is quite different from the GPD Win Mini, too. For example, the former has a narrow six-row keyboard and no built-in trackpad. Instead, AYANEO has included an optical mouse sensor, with greater focus paid to the FLIP's gamepad buttons. Based on the teasers revealed so far, the FLIP will eventually launch with a dedicated fingerprint scanner, as well as a d-pad design not seen on other AYANEO devices.
Unfortunately, AYANEO still remains quiet about when it will launch the FLIP. For now, the company has only outlined that the gaming handheld is 'coming soon'. Additionally, it has teased that the FLIP will deliver 'astonishing performance'. Thus, we expect AYANEO to base the FLIP on AMD Ryzen 7040U APUs or their successors, such as the Ryzen 5 7640U and Ryzen 7 7840U. Incidentally, AYANEO has also started selling the KUN, details of which we have covered separately.
