AYANEO Pocket Air: Pricing, launch date and full specifications confirmed for new AYN Odin2 rival
AYANEO has finally revealed pricing for the Pocket AIR, its first Android-based gaming handheld. Surprisingly, the company has not provided any details about the rumoured Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 model. Instead, it has only discussed the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 edition, which will cost roughly as much as the more powerful AYN Odin2.
As the images below show, AYANEO has set Early Bird pricing at US$279, although most Indiegogo backers are likely to pay at least US$299 for the gaming handheld. Please note that these prices only include 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Additionally, AYANEO has priced the Pocket Air with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for US$329, or US$399 for a 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage SKU. Again, these prices will rise by US$50 once AYANEO exhausts its Early Bird units.
AYANEO will begin selling the Pocket Air on September 6 at 12:00 UTC. Currently, the company hopes to begin shipping to Indiegogo backers at the end of September. However, the company tends to do so in batches. Thus, we would expect AYANEO to still be dispatching Pocket Air orders well into October.
