Only a few days have passed since Dohyun Kim revealed details from Samsung's internal Galaxy Unpacked event. Struck down by DMCA notices, the tweets contained videos showcasing the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series, both expected to be revealed on February 9. While Evan Blass received similar copyright notices for Galaxy S22-related leaks, he has 'Key Features' about the Galaxy S22 Ultra to his Leakmail email subscribers.
On the one hand, many of the promotional material screenshots contained below affirm what had already leaked about the Galaxy S22 Ultra. For example, Blass has confirmed that the Galaxy S22 Ultra measures 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm and has a 6.8-inch display. Additionally, the device has a QHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate that Samsung will market as 'Dynamic AMOLED 2X'.
Separately, another screenshot states that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will peak at 1,750 nits, 250 nits higher than Samsung's claims for the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It is worth noting that we could only get our Galaxy S21 Ultra to 1,382 nits in specific tests, though. Incidentally, the Galaxy S22 Ultra retains its predecessor's HDR10+ certification.
Likewise, one screenshot clarifies that the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 108 MP primary camera with a Super Clear Glass lens cover. Similarly, Samsung has equipped the smartphone with a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 40 MP front-facing camera and dual 10 MP telephoto sensors. Samsung's 'Space Zoom 100X' returns as well for this year's Ultra smartphone.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with a built-in S Pen, too. On the other hand, Blass' leak clarifies that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will not feature a charger in the box, despite being capable of recharging at up to 45 W. Instead, Samsung will only bundle a USB cable and a SIM tool, apart from an S Pen. Moreover, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be capable of shooting 'Super HDR' in 8K.
