Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ promotional materials leak, revealing key specifications and differences between the two flagships
Having leaked promotional materials for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the reliable leaker Evan Blass has also shared the equivalent materials for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+. Seemingly, these images come from an Italian retailer or Samsung's Italian subsidiary. All details below should apply to other regions though, but Europe will be one of the only markets to receive the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ with Samsung's new Exynos 2200 SoC.
The pair will also be available in more colours than the two presented below. As expected, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ feature identical cameras, including a 50 MP primary sensor. Likewise, they both have HDR10+ certified and 120 Hz displays that peak at 1,300 nits. Unfortunately, speculation that the Galaxy S22+ would contain a 1,750-nit display are incorrect. Instead, just the Galaxy S22 Ultra will reach 1,750 nits.
Additionally, Samsung will only include a USB cable and a SIM tool with both devices; you must purchase a charger separately if you need one. However, the Galaxy S22 can recharge at up to 25 W, 20 W less than the Galaxy S22+ can achieve. For reference, the Galaxy S21+ could not recharge at 45 W, either.
Separately, the marketing materials confirm that the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ are slightly more compact than their predecessors. Accordingly, the pair have smaller displays too, 0.1-inches down on the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+, respectively.
