According to Jon Prosser, Samsung has been forced to delay shipments of the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+, the two cheaper options in the Galaxy S22 series. Previously, all devices were expected to be released on February 25, a date that Amazon implied applied to the Galaxy Tab S8 series too. For reference, the latter will launch exclusively with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, unlike the Galaxy S22 series.
Citing supply chain issues, Prosser alleges that Samsung has pushed the date on which the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will leave warehouses until March 11. In comparison, Prosser asserts that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will still be available from February 25. It remains to be seen if the change affects Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ shipments in all countries, or if this delay is SoC specific.
With that said, Prosser expects there to be changes to pre-order dates. Hence, all three should be orderable from February 9, even if the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ do not ship for over a month. Samsung has not altered the date of next month's Galaxy Unpacked event either, also due on February 9.
