The Galaxy S22 series is officially confirmed for a February 9 launch event. A host of marketing materials have already leaked recently, and the latest of the lot reveals the regional availability of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 models.
For the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Samsung will sell the Galaxy S22 equipped with that chipset in North America, China, Japan, South-East Asia, Latin America, and its home market of South Korea. Exynos 2200 models, on the other hand, will be sold in Europe, CIS, South-West Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
It's of import to point out that part of this information already leaked a short while ago, but was based on firmware development. This is based on what appears to be a leaked, official introduction video for the Galaxy S22, and can be considered to be as close to factual as possible. Earlier rumors claimed that the Galaxy S22 Ultra would ship exclusively with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 but nothing indicates that to be true so far.
