Baseus AirGo AS01: New headphones with an unusual attachment
The Baseus AirGo AS01 Earclip Earphones are new completely wireless headphones that follow a different concept than typical in-ear headphones and are designed to stay in the ear even when moving around a lot. The headphones are available at an affordable price. Several microphones are installed and a longer battery life is promised.

Baseus is offering new headphones. The AirGo AS01 are completely wireless and lightweight headphones, which are not intended to be held in the ear canal by the corresponding clamping force, but by the clamping effect of the headphones themselves. Two legs of the headphones are pressed together to prevent them from falling out. This means that the AirGo AS01s do not penetrate the ear canal completely, which can be a desirable feature depending on individual preferences. They are effectively a cheaper alternative to the Huawei FreeClip.

According to the manufacturer, the headphones should be able to reproduce frequencies between 20 and 20,000 Hz, promising a convincing representation of bass. 10-millimeter drivers are used. Active noise suppression is not available - and the passive reduction of potentially disturbing ambient noise is also unlikely to be too strong due to the less strong sealing, which can be advantageous in road traffic, for example. According to the manufacturer, however, the playback of audio content is quite directional, which means that people standing nearby should not be disturbed by the playback.

There are two microphones in each case, which means that wind, for example, should not be strongly audible to the other party when making phone calls. The headphones weigh 4.6 grams each and should last around 6 hours. With intermediate charges, the running time should increase up to 25 hours. Connection with two devices simultaneously and a latency of 60 milliseconds should be possible. Bluetooth 5.3 is used for data transmission and an app allows individual configuration. For example, music playback can be controlled using the corresponding buttons.

The Baseus AirGo ASO01 are currently available for direct import at a price of around 23 euros, with delivery expected within 3 to 12 days.
