New Baseus UnionJoy docking station offers 17 ports and can handle multiple screens
The manufacturer Baseus is offering a new docking station. The UnionJoy is a relatively large docking solution, which also offers numerous connections and functions. The system can be used both horizontally and vertically, and a corresponding stand is included. The same applies to the 100W power supply unit.
There is a USB Type-C port, which can supply notebooks with up to 85 watts. There are also two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort, which support image output with 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. How exactly the corresponding system can be used with three monitors depends on the operating system and the capabilities of the connected PC. The use of three screens simultaneously to extend the desktop is possible across all three screens with a maximum of Full HD resolution - under Windows. Under macOS, 4K monitors also support 60 Hz.
Ethernet with a maximum data transfer rate of 1 GBit/s is also installed, making it easy to integrate a laptop into a wired network, for example. There is a memory card reader at the front, which is said to have a data transfer rate of up to 104 MByte/s. There are also three USB Type-A and two USB Type-C ports, each supporting a data transfer rate of 5 GBit/s. An audio connection is also available.
The model is available from Amazon for 116 euros, and a voucher worth 21 euros can be activated until July 16.
