According to sickdeals, this is a record-low price for the said configuration making it a perfect time to buy the ROG Flow X16 if you were looking for such a machine.
The ROG Flow X16 is a stellar laptop in almost all aspects. In our review, we gave the notebook a “very good” rating of 90% after the machine impressed us with its thin build, performance, display, and quiet operation.
Diving into the display which is arguably the star of the show in a convertible laptop, the 16-inch QHD+ panel of the ROG Flow X16 boasts a 240 Hz refresh rate, touch input, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Our testing yielded an average brightness of 469 nits, a 1246:1 contrast ratio, 99.9% sRGB, 96.6% DCI-P3, and 84.63% AdobeRGB coverage. So, the display is quite good for both gaming and content creation.
Moving on to performance, our ROG Flow X16 sample performed like a champ in CPU-bound tasks thanks to the Core i9-13900H. The laptop managed an 11% better CPU rating than the average for the Core i9-13900H which is commendable when you consider that the machine has a relatively svelte chassis.
Graphics performance was also strong with the RTX 4060 (Get the desktop variant from Amazon) allowing the ROG Flow X16 to push most tested games to above 60 FPS at FHD/Ultra. So, achieving a high refresh rate is entirely possible in lighter eSports titles such as Dota 2.
Finally, the ASUS ROG Flow X16 lasted close to 8 hours in our Wi-Fi websurfing test which is a good if not great result.
