EarFun asserts that its Free Pro 3s are the first TWS earbuds to launch with their specific combination of features. They include an updated QCC 3072 Qualcomm audio chip that powers the often-overlooked aptX Adaptive Audio codec, along with QuietSmart 2.0 hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC). The new buds are also rated to transmit Hi-Res Audio over a Bluetooth 5.3 connection.
The Free Pro 3s are therefore backed to block unwanted noise to the tune of up to 43 decibels (dB): not that far off the current record held by the Realme Buds Air 5 series. The buds themselves have a form-factor that supports removable in-ear hooks for potentially increased stability, as well as a total of 6 mics that confer Qualcomm cVc 8.0 Echo Canceling and Noise Suppression on their voice-calling experience.
Their case also departs from the norm with a longer, thinner case than usual, which is compatible with both USB type-C and wireless charging. Together with the buds, it is rated to last for up to 33 hours per charge, thanks perhaps in part to the Low-Energy Audio Bluetooth protocol conferred by the Snapdragon Sound certification, which also serves to make up the last of the accessories' "world's first" combination of specs.
The Free Pro 3 TWS earbuds are available from now through either EarFun or on Amazon, priced at US$79.99 in black, navy blue or white.
