Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 holds its lead against Dimensity 9300 in latest AnTuTu flagship performance list

On AnTuTu’s March list of flagship phones, we saw a change of course, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 finally coming at the top after being dominated by the Dimensity 9300 for several months. Well, it seems that Qualcomm’s current high-performance SoC is still going strong, securing the first spot again on the latest AnTuTu flagship list.

For those wondering, it’s the ROG Phone 8 Pro (available on Amazon) with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that currently holds the top position in the AnTuTu flagship list. The phone scored an average of 2,120,210 points through the month of April. The top-scoring MediaTek Dimensity 9300 smartphone, the Vivo X100 Pro, has an average of 2,055,987 points, making it hold the fifth position on the performance list.

The difference between the two flagships isn’t significant, but it shows that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices did get better over time. As for the mid-range devices, we see the OnePlus Ace 3V with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 taking the top spot with an average score of 1,441,870. The top-scoring Dimensity 8300 Ultra phone, Redmi K70E, secured the third spot with an average of 1,378,953.

Again, the difference between the two mid-range phones isn’t huge. However, the fact that we’re seeing the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 devices coming at the top of MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra means that Qualcomm truly has a performance-focused offering in the mid-range segment. As always, you should note that synthetic benchmark scores aren’t everything. While it does stand as an important aspect to consider when buying a new phone, you should also factor in the real-world performance, camera, battery, display, and others.
