Dimensity 9300+ dominates over Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in latest AnTuTu flagship performance ranking
The newly launched Dimensity 9300+ is showcasing its dominance over Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the latest AnTuTu flagship performance ranking. In the latest top 10 list published by the benchmarking tool, we see the Vivo X100s powered by MediaTek’s latest and greatest at the top. It got an average score of 2,105,621.
While Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices had a good run in AnTuTu’s March and April lists, we again see it being beaten by a Dimensity 9300 device, the Oppo Find X7. This phone got an average of 2,094,598 points, securing the second spot in the latest flagship performance list.
As for the third phone in the list, it’s the spot where Qualcomm made its first entry into the new flagship ranking with the RedMagic 9 Pro+ (9 Pro available on Amazon). It achieved an average score of 2,080,986. One interesting thing about the new list is that the top-performing device from March and April, which is the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, didn’t make it.
However, that’s nothing unusual, as AnTuTu’s top-performing smartphone ranking only considers the phones that have passed 1,000 valid runs throughout the month. That means the ROG Phone 8 Pro didn’t have enough valid AnTuTu benchmark runs in May. Worth noting that last month, it had an average score of 2,120,210, which is higher than what the Dimensity 9300+ device in the current list has.
But again, synthetic benchmark scores like those from AnTuTu aren’t the only factor that dictates how well-performing a flagship phone is. You should also consider real-world performance, battery life, cameras, and others.
