Underwhelming Apple iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max battery capacities revealed in alleged battery leak
A new leak posted on X has claimed to reveal the battery capacities for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. While also shared by the often-reliable tipster Majin Bu, the source of the leak is considered to be somewhat hit and miss, so a pinch of salt is required here. According to this new information, the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a battery with what seems like a paltry capacity of just 3,577 mAh.
Things look relatively better for the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, with the source stating that this larger flagship smartphone will come with a 4,747-mAh battery. However, Apple fans will have to keep in mind that the iPhone 16 series, especially the Pro models, is set to feature numerous battery-depleting upgrades over the iPhone 15 (available in renewed form on Amazon), with the expected A18 Bionic Pro SoC being one of the major power drawers.
But this is nothing new for Apple, which has always been criticized for offering low-capacity batteries in its iPhones that still perform remarkably well against rivals due to the numerous power-saving efficiencies supplied by the operating system. At least these two rumored figures are still a step up from their predecessors, with the iPhone 15 Pro sporting a 3,274-mAh battery while the iPhone 15 Pro Max battery was beefed up to 4,422 mAh.
