A typically reliable leaker has shared early details about another unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chipset. Joining the ranks of the X1P-64-100 and the rumoured X1P-42-100, the X1P-39-100 is expected to line up as the least powerful option in the Snapdragon X range.

Roland Quandt has offered up early details about another unreleased Snapdragon X Plus chipset. Officially, Qualcomm has introduced one Snapdragon X Plus chipset, which is identifiable by its X1P-64-100 part number. In comparison, the company has announced three versions of the Snapdragon X Elite distinguished by their CPU clock speeds and theoretical GPU performance, as well as their X1E-78-100, X1E-80-100 and X1E-84-100 part numbers.

However, there has been ample evidence that Qualcomm had also created the X1P-42-100, a less powerful version of the X1P-64-100. Although Qualcomm has not mentioned the chipset yet, retail listings still exist of the new ASUS Vivobook S being paired with this unreleased chipset. According to Quandt, there is actually a third Snapdragon X Plus variant in the works that has not surfaced yet in any capacity.

Allegedly, Qualcomm will eventually release the X1P-39-100, which it has developed under the codename 'Purwa' like other Snapdragon X Plus chipsets. Writing on X, Quandt adds that the X1P-39-100 contains eight CPU cores, which would match the rumoured X1P-42-100. With that being said, it remains to be seen whether the X1P-39-100 will adopt solely Oryon performance cores as the X1P-42-100 is rumoured to have done. Unfortunately, other details about the X1P-39-100 remain unknown for now. Please see our X1P-42-100 article for more details on its differences from the existing X1P-64-100.
