RedMagic teases its first gaming laptop, hints at powerful specs
RedMagic is preparing to launch its very first gaming laptop. The company’s latest teaser confirmed the launch being in June, which is just around the corner. But that’s pretty much all that the company has revealed. The good part is that it got spotted in Geekbench, and with that, we got to know its core specs.
As per the Geekbench listing, the gaming laptop with a GN001J model number will pack the Intel Core i9 13950HX. This is a top-end mobile processor from the Raptor Lake series, and even though it’s a generation behind, it brings plenty of power to smoothly handle AAA games and resource-intensive workloads.
When it comes to the GPU, the Geekbenech listing revealed that the RedMagic gaming laptop will feature Nvidia RTX 4070, a high-end mobile graphics card that can easily run all games at max settings. Given the powerful combination of CPU and GPU, we may also see a beefy cooling setup inside the system.
Of course, it’s unclear whether this will be the only configuration of the RedMagic gaming laptop. There could be more that have possibly not been spotted in Geekbench yet.
Nonetheless, the Core i9 13950HX and RTX 4070 variant of the gaming laptop also popped up on the 3C certification website. It revealed that the company will be pairing it up with a 280W power adapter. There’s nothing about the pricing, though. However, similarly configured laptops cost around $3,000, such as the Razer Blade 16 (curr. $2,199.99 on Best Buy). So, it will likely be on the expensive end.
