A few months have passed since Xiaomi released the Redmi Display G Pro 27, a monitor that it sells in China for CNY 1,999 (~$276). Ultimately, the Redmi Display G Pro 27 is one of many gaming monitors that it offers in its home country. However, it stands out from the likes of the Curved Gaming Monitor G34WQi (curr. $299.99 on Amazon) by its reliance on 1,152 Mini LED local dimming zones that help it achieve 1,000 nits peak brightness and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification.
Seemingly, Xiaomi intends to release the Redmi Display G Pro 27 outside China. However, the company will drop the 'Redmi' branding altogether, as has been the case with previous gaming monitor global releases. Instead, the company has listed the Redmi Display G Pro 27 on its global website as the 'Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i'. Fundamentally, the pair are the same monitor though, as denoted by the latter's P27QBA-RGPGL 'global' product model name.
As such, the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified and rated to reach 1,000 nits peak brightness, just like the Redmi Display G Pro 27. Additionally, the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i delivers a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel native resolution across its 27-inch IPS panel, as well as a 180 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i offers 1 ms GtG response times and 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, along with two DisplayPort and HDMI ports apiece. While pricing and availability remain unknown for now, full product details can be found on Xiaomi's global website.
