A few months have passed since Cooler Master announced a raft of new gaming monitors, including the GP2712 and GZ2713. Now, it has returned with the GP57ZS, a 57-inch example that has a steep 1000R curvature. Currently, Cooler Master has not shared too many details about the monitor online. Instead, it describes the GP57ZS in the following terms:
Our first hyper-detailed, curved 57" dual 4K monitor, with a few innovations of our own sprinkled in for good measure. Stay tuned for the full recipe...
Nonetheless, Cooler Master has exhibited the GP57ZS at Computex 2024 where it has also shared more product details. In short, it seems that the GP57ZS features the same underlying panel technology as the Acer Predator Z57. Consequently, the GP57ZS outputs at 7,680 x 2,160 pixels (DUHD) with a 32:9 aspect ratio and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the monitor boasts 2,304 Mini LED local dimming zones for 98% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and up to 1,000 nits peak brightness.
It is currently unclear what panel type underpins the GP57ZS, though. On the one hand, the likes of TFTCentral report Cooler Master using a VA panel like the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC (curr. $2,197.38 on Amazon). On the other hand, Acer stated that the Predator Z57 utilised IPS technology in January. Unfortunately, Acer does not list the Predator Z57's panel type on its product page.
Regardless, Cooler Master also equips the GP57ZS with one DisplayPort and a pair of HDMI ports (capabilities not listed), plus a USB Type-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and 90 W Power Delivery. Pricing remains unknown too, as does when the GP57ZS will be available. For reference, Acer initially priced the Predator Z57 at $2,499.99. However, the company has since dropped launch pricing to $1,999.99 ahead of an alleged release later this month.
