The GP27QP is Cooler Master's latest gaming monitor after last week's introduction of the GP57ZS. While the GP57ZS spans a huge 57-inches, the GP27QP features a 27-inch panel with a conventional 16:9 aspect ratio like the Cooler Master Tempest GP27Q (curr. $499 on Amazon). According to Cooler Master, the GP27QP outputs at 2K. However, the monitor actually has a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution, which is also known as 2.5K or QHD.
Additionally, the monitor has a 2,500:1 contrast ratio thanks to being a VA panel and delivers 350 nits of typical SDR brightness. Supposedly, 1,152 Mini LED zones are on hand to provide up to 1,000 nits peak HDR brightness, though. Meanwhile, the panel also offers a 240 Hz refresh rate with 178°/178° viewing angles and 5 ms GtG response times (1 ms MPRT).
Currently, Cooler Master has not confirmed pricing or availability yet. With that being said, TFTCentral claims to have received information a few months ago that the GP27QP would be ready for a Q3 2024 release with $549 target launch pricing.
