Corsair has presented a new Xeneon gaming monitor, which it continues to stylise as XENEON. Like the MPG 341CQPX that MSI announced a few days ago, it appears that the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C is one of the early examples of a new QD-OLED panel that combines a 3,440 x 1,440-pixel resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate. For reference, it seems that the pair share the same panel technology as the Predator X34 X5, too.
As such, the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C also delivers up to 1,000 nits (3% APL) peak brightness, AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC to mitigate image tearing, and 0.03 ms GtG response times. Moreover, the panel is said to cover 100% of the sRGB colour space and has a glossy finish, albeit one that Corsair describes as being 'coated to reduce glare when you have bright light sources in the background'. On top of that, Corsair has included the following ports:
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x USB Type-C (65 W Power Delivery/DisplayPort Alt Mode)
- 1x USB Type-C
- 4x USB 3.1 Type-A (5 Gbps)
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
Furthermore, the monitor has a KVM switch, a VESA 100 x 100 mm mount and is passively cooled. Separately, Corsair has confirmed that the monitor will also feature a three-year manufacturer warranty and a 'Zero Dead Pixel' guarantee. Unfortunately, it has not shared pricing information yet, let alone when the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C will be available. In the meantime, various companies are selling W-OLED alternatives that combine 1440p resolutions and 240 Hz refresh rates too, including the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM (curr. $1,299 on Amazon).
