Asus announced revamped ROG, ZenBook, and ProArt lineups at Computex, but we also get to see a new ExpertBook P5 on the cards. However, the business laptop won't be available to pick up just yet as it is based on Intel's upcoming Lunar Lake platform that launches only later this year.
The upcoming ExpertBook P5 does not offer an OLED panel unlike the ExpertBook B9 OLED (US$1,699 on Amazon) but makes use of a 14-inch 16:10 2.5K IPS panel. Asus is pitching the ExpertBook P5 Copilot+ PC for AI-powered productivity with the ability to make use of AI meeting tools that offer camera and audio optimization, meeting summaries, transcripts, and translations. Asus will also include the Story Cube app that comes with new ProArt laptops for AI-assisted media search and cataloging.
The ExpertBook P5 comes with a host of security features — some of which are AI-powered — including meeting Microsoft's Secured-Core PC requirements and offering a commercial-grade BIOS. Asus said that the ExpertBook P5 comes with the promise of five years of BIOS and security updates along with a three-year international warranty and defective hard drive retention. The laptop is also tested to conform to a battery of durability tests.
Asus isn't yet revealing specific configuration options, pricing, or availability at this time as Intel itself hasn't made Lunar Lake SKUs public.
