Back in March, an initial leak hinted at the colors of the successors to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (renewed models available here at Amazon). Now, well-known analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo has chimed in on the color options that Apple is currently working on. In his latest post on X, Kuo also assumes that Apple will once again offer four color options for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro: Black, White/Silver, Natural Titanium and Rose.
If the leaks are correct, Rose Titanium is thus likely to replace the Blue Titanium of the iPhone 15 Pro in 2024. Over the weekend, the analyst also commented on the color options that buyers of the regular iPhones can expect in the fall. Accordingly, the successors to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected in Black, White, Green, Pink and Blue, which is consistent with earlier indications, although in the past there has also been talk of a purple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which the analyst does not mention.
All new iPhones will have a new capture button, which will be a capacitive soft button that is pressure-sensitive and practical for taking videos and photos. The action button will be introduced on the regular iPhone 16 models, while the format of the camera module will also change. The Pro models will get a larger and a larger and brighter display and a 5x zoom camera, and of course the Apple A18 chipset is also expected. The iPhone 17 in 2025 is likely to see the first complete redesign in the form of the iPhone 17 Slim.
