Apple iPhone 16 Pro shows design improvements in four colors in concept images

As the launch of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro draws closer, concept images reveal what the next-generation flagship may look like. With a dedicated capture button, new colors, a polished titanium frame and a larger display, numerous design improvements are expected.

After several CAD images and initial render images of the successor to the Apple iPhone 15 Pro recently surfaced online, AppleTrack has now published newer concept images (in the video embedded below), which take the latest rumors into account in order to convey as detailed a picture of the iPhone 16 Pro as possible.

At first glance, the changes appear limited, but Apple is changing numerous details, starting with the larger display. The screen diagonal of the iPhone 16 Pro is set to expand from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, and from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Although the edges of the screen will be narrower, the smartphones will be slightly larger, as the leaked dimensions show. The titanium frame will change from a brushed to a polished surface, making it smoother and shinier. 


In addition to white, black and gray, Apple is said to be offering a pink version to replace the blue iPhone 15 Pro. Perhaps the most significant design change for users is the Capture Button, a touch-sensitive button on the right-hand side of the iPhone that allows users to launch the camera app and take photos or start video recordings, as well as control functions such as zoom and exposure.

The square camera module will be carried over from the iPhone 15 Pro, but rumors suggest a new 48 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a periscope telephoto camera with 5x zoom (also on the smaller iPhone 16 Pro) and improved lenses. Furthermore, the flagship is expected to receive improved microphones, and the Apple A18 Pro is rumored to have higher AI performance and a slightly larger battery.
