The first schematics of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro have surfaced online. While the iPhone 16 Pro resembles the iPhone 15 Pro in some regards, it appears that Apple has made some fundamental changes in several areas.

91mobiles has published CAD schematics for one of Apple's next flagships. According to the website, the images below are of the smaller iPhone 16 Pro. As earlier rumours suggested, Apple will replace the iPhone 15 Pro (curr. $999.99 on Amazon) with a slightly larger model. Nonetheless, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to be smaller than competitors like the Google Pixel 8 and its successor, the Pixel 9.

Specifically, the iPhone 16 Pro is said to measure 149.6 x 71.4 x 8.4 mm. Thus, Apple has decided to make its smaller 'Pro' iPhone 3 mm taller and 0.8 mm wider than the current iPhone 15 Pro. Seemingly, Apple has adopted a larger footprint for the desire to include a 0.2-inch wider display. As a result, the iPhone 16 Pro could span 6.3-inches, a 0.5-inch change in five years from the iPhone 11 Pro.

Ultimately, the iPhone 16 Pro carries over most of its predecessor's design elements. For example, the latter's flat edges, Dynamic Island and triple camera set-up remain, as does a LiDAR sensor. However, 91mobiles' renders show an additional hardware button, currently thought of as a 'capture button'. Reportedly touch sensitive, the button will not only serve as a camera shutter but could also a zoom slider of sorts.
